This arrangement of Franz Schubert’s Introduction and Variations on ‚Trockne

Blumen‘ was masterfully created by Gudrun Hinze for her flute quintet,

Quintessenz. In this arrangement, the original flute part has been split up,

with the intention that every member of the flute group gets a chance to

perform parts of the themes. Although the original score appears to be only a

duet between the piano and the flute, you will be able to discover the rich

polyphony of the composition even more easily when the piece is played by

five instruments. Instrumentation: 3 C Flutes ,

Alto Flute, Bass Flute.
